====== Removing a computer from the domain ======


This should only be done by graduating students!  If you will be a returning  student and are away from campus, the IT department is unable to remotely  add your machine back to the domain.


    - Click on the Start menu, and type control panel.
    - In the Control Panel select **System**.
    - Select the **Change Settings** next to the **Computer Name**  field.
    - Press the **Change…**  button
    - Select the **Workgroup**  box and enter in ''WORKGROUP''.
    - Select **Okay**, followed by **Okay**.
    - You will be prompted to restart your machine in order for the operation to complete
    - press **Okay**  again to allow your machine to restart.
