*Students: Please Read* Welcome to the Linux Wiki. While at Olin, you will be involved in many projects. Your data is essential, and you are responsible for protecting your data. If you are new to Linux or a seasoned veteran, it is crucial to backup your data. If something were to happen to your laptop, the Helpdesk might not be able to recover your data. To keep your data safe, take a few minutes to set up a backup.

There are many ways to backup in Linux, but one of the easier ways is using Deja-Dup. The Deja-Dup application is free and available in the Ubuntu Software store. Deja-Dup backups your Ubuntu home directory automatically to your Google drive. So after setting up your WiFi in Ubuntu, go ahead and set up a backup. Your future self will thank you.
