Please do the following prior to starting the installation process:

• Be connected to internal network (not the wireless Olin Guest Network)
• If possible wire into the network with an Ethernet cable.
• Save all your work and close any open applications.

From the main Mac Desktop

• Click “Go”
• Connect to Server
• In the server address field type smb:olinit01.olin.edu * Connect as Registered User:   * YourUsername  (no olin.edu or MILKYWAY) * YourPassword * Click ok for the “SEP11” folder * Open “SEP_MAC” folder Copy the Symantec Endpoint Protection.mpkg file to your desktop or other convenient location via dragging and dropping. * Run the package that is now local on your Mac by double clicking the icon. * Click Continue 4 times and then “Agree” * Make sure your installation is set to Unmanaged (this should be the default). * Click Continue * Click Install * Enter in your local Mac username and password (not your network credentials) * Click Continue Installation * Click Log Out Installation is now complete.
