Adobe Scan App

Getting Started

To log in to Adobe Scan, you will need to use your Adobe Enterprise ID. Reference the wiki page on Adobe Creative Cloud to learn how to get your credentials.

Installation

Install the application onto your mobile device using the app store associated with your mobile device - it is available on both the Apple App Store (for iOS) and the Google Play Store (for Android). After downloading the app, you will have to sign in with your Adobe credentials.

Overview and Features

The Adobe Scan app allows you to use your mobile device’s camera to create high-resolution PDFs of documents, forms, business cards, and whiteboards.

To use the app, hold the camera up to the item you want to scan - the interface should automatically prompt you to hold the camera steady for a few seconds while it captures an image.

After the app captures an image, you can drag the borders around the image to ensure that you only capture the sections you want to incorporate into your final scanned document. After scanning an item, you can choose to rename the file, add additional pages, reorder pages, crop out sections of the document, edit the coloring scheme, and clean up or erase parts of the document.

After you finish scanning, select “Save PDF” in the top right corner of the screen to save a complete PDF of your scanned material. This PDF will be saved to your account’s Adobe Document Cloud, so you can access and edit the content you scanned on any device. To access document cloud, go to https://documentcloud.adobe.com/link/home/ and log in with your Adobe Enterprise credentials. Should you want to share your PDF using methods other than the Adobe Document cloud, you can also save it to your mobile device, share a link to the document, or send a copy of the PDF via email.
