Classroom AV Wall Controls

Laptop Connectivity

  • Connect your laptop to the provided HDMI or VGA cable from the wall
  • If using audio with VGA, connect the 1/8“ plug (attached to the VGA cable) to the headphone output on your laptop.

Powering On

  • Press the System On button on the top left corner of the control panel.
  • The indicator light will begin blinking. This indicates that the projector is warming up, which may take up to 2 minutes.
  • After warming up the projector will auto determine which source (VGA vs. HDMI) your laptop is connected to
  • If you have two sources plugged in, the signal on the digital HDMI input will take priority over the signal from the analog VGA input

Note: Either the HDMI or PC light on the lower wall plate will turn on to indicate which input source is being displayed

Projector Screen

  • Controls to change the screen position will be found on the wall adjacent to the projector controls.

Audio

  • Audio Volume can be adjusted with the control wheel located on the right hand side of the control panel.
  • The Volume indicator light will remain on even when the entire system is powered off

Mute Functions

Display

  • Pressing the Display Mute button will turn the projected image to a blank screen without powering off the projector and the indicator light will turn red. Pressing the Display Mute button again will enable the image and the associated indicator light will turn off.

Audio

  • Pressing the Audio Mute button will turn off all sound output from the speakers and the indicator light will turn red. Pressing the Audio Mute button again will enable use of the classroom wall speakers & the associated indicator light will turn off.

Note: There is a ~1 second delay in both turning the Audio and Display Mute functions on and off.

System Shutdown Procedure

  • Press the System Off button which will be located toward the top left of the wall control panel.
  • It is necessary that the projector cool down for ~3 minutes before the option will be available to power on again during which time the System Off indicator light will blink to indicate that the projector is in cool down.
