iCalendar Appointments and Events

When sending notifications of events and appointments by email, using an iCalendar attachment allows those users receiving your email to easily add your information to their personal calendars.

To create an iCalendar attachment:

  1. Create the appointment or event in your personal or community calendar
  2. Open the appointment
  3. Choose ForwardForward as iCalendar

This action will open an email window and attach your appointment as an iCalendar attachment. Simply add users to the email and send.

When receiving an iCalendar attachment :

  • Open the attachment by either double clicking or dragging the attachment from the email to your calendar folder
  • Choose the icon for Save and Close to add to your calendar

Remember to set your personal reminder preferences as well as any labels for your personal calendar
