There are many ways to backup in Linux but one of the easier ways is using Deja-Dup. The Deja-Dup application is free and available in the Ubuntu software store. Deja-Dup backups your Ubuntu home directory automatically to your Google drive. So after setting up your WiFi in Ubuntu, go ahead and setup a backup.
